Okay, slap my wrist. I'm a bad blogger.

This has been a hellishly busy week -- but in a good way. I'll get into that in a minute.

Right after I discuss the e-mail that I just received. Let me give the disclaimer -- I LOVE Shari's Berries. Honestly, I send them all the time for multiple occasions, which is why I'm on their mailing list. Today, I received a promotion message that was soliciting St. Patrick's Day gifts. ST. PATRICK'S DAY GIFTS? WTF? Is it really necessary to send a $40 box of chocolate covered strawberries? Shouldn't it be enough just to say: "Congratulations! You're drunk!"

Just had to get that out. Back to the weekend.

My weekend started on Thursday night at the Public Enemy concert. Chuck is a good friend of mine and my father, and my dad played with them that night. Somehow, whenever PE comes to town and my dad is playing, I end up working -- whether it's coordinating someone's schedule (my father's), making sure that someone (my father) gets to sound check on time, or making sure that someone (Chuck) allocates the correct amount of backstage passes. Between all of these tasks, most of them never get done.

The odd thing is that I'm often a casualty. Somehow my backstage pass inevitably falls from memory, and I end up losing my mind on the staff of House of Blues to give me an All Access pass.

But, after all that was over, we had a great time. As evidenced by the following pics:

And, of course, we all know the illustrious Flavor Flav (No, I'm NOT making an appearance on the next Flavor of Love, in case anything gets any strange ideas. I'm a relationship columnist, not a complete idiot!)

The weekend had a few more fun highlights, like seeing 300 with the BF. We went to the IMAX theatre, which I completely recommend. Sure, there was a lot of violence, but it was surprisingly benign. I'd heard tales of the gorey aspects of the film, but I think that it paled in comparison to Apocalypto, which had the most gratuitous beheading that I've ever seen, or Turistas (I'm still haunted by the sounds of those organ removals. Yeesh!). In short, I'd recommend.

On another note, do any of my fellow bloggers have opinions about whether Blogger or Wordpress is a better interface? I'm thinking of switching, but need to understand the benefits of both before I move this entire thing over.
