Average Joe is over, and the cutie pie wins. I was really surprised that Jason was chosen over Adam, who is a bit geeky, but a millionaire. Let's look at this situation . . . gorgeous eye candy who lives at home, or average joe millionaire. Hmm . . . what would you guys pick? :-)

Here's something that has always concerned me -- the DVD player in the car. Now, I realize that some people use them to tame their children on long drives, and I completely agree with that. Being childless and extremely noise sensitive, I'm all for anything that prevents crying, screaming, restlessness and fighting. However, the DVD in the FRONT seat is an altogether different issue.
Driving home this evening, I was stopped at the light in front of Buckingham Fountain on Lake Shore Drive and glanced at the car on my left. It was the garden-variety hoopty with rims that cost more than the car. I see that every day, so that wasn't the spectacle. I was more enthralled by the display of technology on the dashboard. The cornrowed gentleman behind the wheel had a phone charger (and not the car charger, mind you. He had a desktop charger) and a portable DVD player set up in his line of vision with a movie playing. I can't help thinking that this is a terrible idea.
Do we really need one more distracted driver on the road? We have so many bad drivers as it is . . . should we exacerbate the problem by allowing cars to double as moving theatres?
Why isn't this against the law? It's against the law to drive with open containers of alcohol. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I would be far more distracted by a good action scene or comedic moment than I would by enjoying a relaxing glass of wine while driving.
It's definitely something to think about.
